Dubrovnik City with rich culture and tradition-laden history

George Bernard Shaw wrote: “Those who seek paradise on earth should come and see Dubrovnik.”

This beautiful film city, with its rich culture and tradition-laden history, draws tourists from all over to explore Dubrovnik’s timeless beauty!
It is known as the Pearl of Adriatic, located in south Croatia at foothill Srđ which offers a spectacular panoramic view. In 1979 became part of the world’s UNESCO heritage sites.

Dubrovnik is a city that has been through much. Founded in the 7th century, named Ragusa, and from the 13th century it became an essential maritime power and center of culture of the entire region. The earthquake of 1667 significantly damaged the city, but Dubrovnik managed to preserve its charm and beautiful Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces, and fountains.

The beautifully preserved old town is surrounded by stone walls, built over centuries and stretching for 1940 meters, providing a spectacular view from all sides. Enter one of the three main entrances, walk through the city walls, and discover the main towers, the Revelin Fortress, the Minčeta Fortress, which offers a unique view of the entire old town, the Ivan Fortress, and other beauties of the walls.

The charms of the most famous street Stradun, and narrow streets full of restaurants which combine vibrant and diverse Mediterranean gastronomy, and souvenir shops, will amaze you and show why Dubrovnik deserves an honorable place in the famous series “Game of Thrones.”

Many sculptures and landmarks, such as the church of St. Vlaho, the city’s patron saint, the Rector’s Palace, the Franciscan monastery with the oldest pharmacy in Europe, numerous Dubrovnik museums and Orlando’s Column, will take you into the fascinating history of Dubrovnik.

The beach in Dubrovnik is progress, and there is something for everyone, whether you are a fan of pebble or sandy beaches, adrenaline and water sports, or solitude and relaxation.

Banje, one of the most popular Adriatic beaches, offers a view of the city, Sv. Jakov, which leads to 160 steps of the beach overlooking the island of Lokrum and the Old Town, Copacabana, in addition to lounging ideal for enjoying various activities such as water skiing, banana rides, volleyball, popular Buža besides the beach is unique because it is located in a hole. The islet of Lokrum, the turquoise pearl of the Dubrovnik region, and Lapad Bay with many smaller bays for all who love solitude.
